São Carlos Map Poster & Print
São Carlos lies in the centre of São Paulo state, on rolling uplands surrounded by farmland. The historic centre is laid out on a regular grid of blocks around its main squares, and newer neighbourhoods spread outward over gentle hills. From above, the orderly core and the looser outer districts show clearly how the city grew.
The city is best known as a centre of science and education. A campus of the University of São Paulo sits close to the centre, and the Federal University of São Carlos covers a large, green site on the edge of the city with its own network of roads and woodland. The city often describes itself as a national capital of technology.
Sugarcane fields stretch across the countryside around the urban area, and major highways connect São Carlos to the rest of the state. A São Carlos map poster frames the orderly centre together with its campuses and the edges where the grid meets farmland. The result feels structured without being rigid.

USP campus
A University of São Paulo campus sits near the centre. Its buildings and internal paths form a compact block that stands out from the surrounding homes.
UFSCar grounds
The Federal University of São Carlos covers a wide area on the edge of the city. Its winding roads, open ground and woodland soften the map's geometry.
