South Hill covers a broad upland directly south of Puyallup in Pierce County, Washington. From above, the contrast with the valley below is striking. The old river town sits on a flat floodplain, while South Hill's streets climb onto the plateau and spread out in curving subdivisions, winding lanes and dead ends.
