Southern coastline
The Timor Sea shore runs along the south side of town as a long, clean edge. It is one of the strongest lines on the print and an easy way to get your bearings.

Suai Map Poster & Print
Suai is the main town of Cova Lima municipality, on the south coast of Timor-Leste. Here the mountains of the island's interior drop to a wide coastal plain, and the town spreads across that flat land a short way inland from the Timor Sea. The map shows a loose, open settlement, with scattered blocks, wide gaps between buildings and roads leading toward the shore and the hills.
In recent years Suai has been at the centre of national development plans for the south coast. These include an airport and a supply base tied to Timor-Leste's offshore petroleum ambitions. Rivers and seasonal streams cross the plain and appear on the map as winding lines. The coastline forms a long, almost straight edge along the bottom of the frame.
A Suai map poster is spare and airy, with far more white space than line. That is its appeal: the print shows a young country's southern town in enough detail to see its roads, its rivers and how close it sits to the sea. It is a meaningful piece for Timorese families, aid workers, researchers and anyone who has lived on this coast.

Coastal plain
The flat land between the mountains and the sea lets the town spread out loosely. Blocks and roads are widely spaced, so the composition feels open and calm.
River courses
Streams running down from the interior cross the plain in winding lines, some of them only seasonal. Their soft curves contrast with the straighter roads.

Kwa nini Suai
Ramani yenye maana
Suai means different things to different people: home, a workplace on the south coast, a chapter of a long posting. A map records that place quietly, without photographs, and the open composition makes it restful to live with on a wall.
Give the poster your own title, a subtitle with a date or a few words, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files, or order a printed poster from partners in more than 30 countries.
