Sukhoy Log Map Poster & Print
Sukhoy Log stretches along the Pyshma River east of the Ural Mountains. From above, the river gives the town its orientation: streets of low houses run along and away from the banks, and larger blocks and industrial areas cluster in places where the land opens up. Around the edges, fields and birch woods take over, and the streets end quickly.
The town grew from an older settlement into an industrial centre, and it is known in Russia for cement production. Its factory grounds and rail sidings are some of the largest shapes on the map. Beyond that, Sukhoy Log keeps the scale of a provincial town, with a network of residential streets rather than a dense urban core.
A Sukhoy Log map poster shows the Pyshma as a flowing line through the middle, with bridges and roads joining the two sides. The mix of rectilinear residential blocks, looser village-like streets and wide industrial areas gives the print an honest portrait of a working Urals town.

Industrial grounds
Cement production shaped the town. Its factory areas and rail spurs appear as large, rectangular blocks that contrast with the finer residential streets.
Low-rise streets
Much of the town consists of long streets lined with private houses, which appear on the map as an even grid of lines.

Kwa nini Sukhoy Log
Ramani yenye maana
Sukhoy Log is a town people leave for bigger cities but continue to call home. A map on the wall keeps its river, streets and familiar neighbourhoods in view, a modest keepsake of the place where a family's story took shape.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised in any language you like, including a family name or date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the river town a quiet, warm tone.
