Tettnang sits in the gentle hills north of Lake Constance, between Friedrichshafen and Ravensburg in southern Baden-Württemberg. The old town occupies a slight rise, and its main street and compact blocks lead toward the Neues Schloss, the baroque palace of the Counts of Montfort.
