Willowbrook Map Poster & Print
Willowbrook is an unincorporated community in south Los Angeles County, between Watts and Compton. Its map is classic Los Angeles basin: flat ground and a tight grid of residential blocks filled with single-family houses, framed by wide arterial boulevards. The pattern is regular, but the streets change direction here and there where older tracts meet.
Major transport lines cut across the grid. The Glenn Anderson Freeway, Interstate 105, runs along the north, and the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks station is a key junction of the Metro rail network, where lines cross. The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital campus is also in the area, one of the few large sites in a landscape made mostly of houses.
A Willowbrook map poster captures that combination of domestic grid and heavy infrastructure. Long freeway curves and rail lines set against the fine pattern of residential streets create a strong and very urban composition, drawn from a part of Los Angeles that appears in guidebooks far less often than it deserves.

Freeway and rail lines
Interstate 105 and the Metro rail lines cut long, clean lines through the grid, adding bold structure to the composition.
Rosa Parks station
The Willowbrook/Rosa Parks station sits where rail lines meet, a recognisable node at the heart of the map.
