Old town core
The oldest streets form a close, irregular knot near the centre. They contrast with the straighter apartment blocks that have spread out along the approach roads.

Yahyalı Map Poster & Print
Yahyalı lies at the southern edge of Kayseri province, where the Anatolian plateau begins to rise toward the Taurus Mountains. The town spreads across gently sloping ground, with a core of tightly packed streets and newer blocks extending outward along the main roads. Orchards and fields surround it, and to the south the terrain becomes steep and cut by valleys.
The district is known across Turkey for hand-knotted Yahyalı carpets, a weaving tradition that still gives the town its reputation. It is also a gateway to the Aladağlar range, popular with climbers and trekkers, and to the Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls, which pour from a limestone cliff further south in the district. Few towns of this size sit so close to such high mountain country.
A Yahyalı map poster balances two textures: the dense, irregular streets of an old Anatolian town and the open country leading toward the mountains. At a wider scale the roads fan out into the valleys, giving the composition a sense of direction and altitude even when it is printed in flat black and white.

Roads to the mountains
Roads leave town heading south toward the Aladağlar. On the map their winding lines hint at the high country that lies beyond the frame.
Orchards and fields
Gardens, orchards and farm plots surround the town, breaking the edges of the map into a fine patchwork before the land climbs toward the ridges.
