The Yerres river
The river meanders through the centre of town in a series of slow bends, giving the map a flowing line that the streets and gardens arrange themselves around.

Yerres Map Poster & Print
Yerres takes its name from the river that loops through it on the way to the Seine, and the river is the first thing you notice on a map. The Yerres bends slowly through the town, lined with gardens, footpaths and old riverside properties, while residential streets climb gently away on either side toward the plateau and the edge of the Forest of Sénart.
The town is best known for the Propriété Caillebotte, the family estate where the painter Gustave Caillebotte spent his summers and painted many of his early works, including river scenes of boaters on the Yerres. Today the park is public, and its lawns and waterside paths appear on the map as a generous open space beside the curving river.
A Yerres map poster shows a suburb with an unusually soft outline. There is no rigid grid here: streets follow the valley, railway lines cut a straight counterpoint through the curves, and the large green mass of the forest presses in from the east. In monochrome, the balance between river, houses and woodland comes through calmly and clearly.

Propriété Caillebotte
The former estate of the Caillebotte family is now a public park on the riverbank, a wide green shape where the painter once worked on scenes of the water.
Forest of Sénart
To the east, the large Sénart forest forms an almost unbroken block of woodland, crossed only by straight forest rides that stand out against the town's curving streets.

Kwa nini Yerres
Ramani yenye maana
Yerres suits anyone with a connection to the Paris suburbs who prefers a quieter image than the capital itself. The river and forest give the poster a gentle composition, and for admirers of Caillebotte it adds a link to a painter's landscape.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family address, a moving date or the name of a street. Then pick one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit the space.
