Zelenokumsk Map Poster & Print
Zelenokumsk is in Stavropol Krai in southern Russia and serves as the administrative centre of Sovetsky District. It stands on the Kuma River, which crosses the region's dry steppe toward the Caspian lowlands. The town began as a large village called Vorontsovo-Aleksandrovskoye and took its present name in the 1960s, when it became a town.
From above, Zelenokumsk shows the long, straight streets and deep plots typical of old southern Russian villages, laid out in a broad rectangular pattern. The Kuma winds along one side, with trees and floodplain land along its course, and fields and orchards spread across the flat country beyond.
A Zelenokumsk map poster contrasts the geometry of the town with the flowing curve of the river. Long parallel streets create a strong, rhythmic pattern. The Kuma adds a single meandering line, and the surrounding farmland stays open and quiet. The result is a clean, well-proportioned composition that works in any room.
