The twenty-one bends
The road from the valley to the resort folds across the mountainside in a long run of numbered hairpins, the most recognisable road shape in cycling.

Alpe d'Huez Map Poster & Print
Alpe d'Huez sits on a broad, south-facing shelf high above the Romanche valley in the Oisans, Isère. The resort grew from mountain pasture into one of the largest ski stations in the Alps, and from above it forms a sprawling, irregular cluster of streets and buildings across the plateau, very different from the tight village layouts of the valleys below.
It is known for two things in particular. In summer, the road up from Le Bourg-d'Oisans, with its twenty-one numbered hairpins, is one of the most famous climbs in the Tour de France. In winter, lifts rise to the Pic Blanc, above 3,300 metres, and the Sarenne run descends from the high ground as one of the longest black runs in the world.
An Alpe d'Huez map poster brings the resort and its approach together: the zigzag of the famous road, the spreading streets of the plateau, the altiport, and the lift lines reaching into open, high terrain. It is a map with real graphic energy, suited to cyclists, skiers and anyone who has spent a season in the Oisans.

Alpe d'Huez means different things to different people: a first ski holiday, a long-planned ride, a season of work. A map gathers all of those into one image, and the strong shapes of the road and plateau hold up well at any size.
Add your own title, a subtitle with the date of your climb or descent, and keep or change the coordinates line. Choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as $9 HD files or a printed, optionally framed poster.
