Quintard Avenue
The wide north–south boulevard is the city's main axis. It is one of the strongest and straightest lines on the poster, with the downtown grid running alongside it.

Anniston Map Poster & Print
Anniston lies in northeast Alabama, where the southern end of the Appalachian ridges rises around Calhoun County. The town was founded after the Civil War by Samuel Noble and Daniel Tyler as a private company town for iron production, and it was promoted as the "Model City". That origin still shows on a map in the regular downtown grid and in its long, straight avenues.
Quintard Avenue, a wide tree-lined boulevard, runs through the city from north to south, and Noble Street forms the traditional downtown. Beyond the grid, the streets begin to bend around ridges and hollows. To the north lies the former Fort McClellan, a large army post that closed in 1999. Its curving roads and open land look very different from the town's planned core.
An Anniston map poster places that planned grid against the hills that frame it. Anniston's history also includes a painful chapter of the civil rights era, when a Freedom Riders bus was attacked and burned near the city in 1961. The map carries all of these layers quietly, with the streets telling the story.

Model City grid
The planned downtown around Noble Street forms an orderly block pattern that reflects Anniston's origins as a carefully laid-out industrial town.
Ridges and Fort McClellan
Wooded ridges bend the outer streets, and the former Fort McClellan to the north adds a large area of curving roads and open ground.

For people raised in Calhoun County, an Anniston map is a reminder of Quintard Avenue, the old downtown and the hills beyond. It is a strong gift for veterans who trained at Fort McClellan and still remember the place.
