Scheldt bends
The river curves through town and out across the flat valley, split in places by side channels. It gives the poster a strong, flowing spine from edge to edge.

Oudenaarde Map Poster & Print
Oudenaarde lies on the Scheldt in East Flanders. The river is the organising line on its map: it crosses the town in a series of bends, with a central market square just to its north. Old streets radiate from the Markt, and newer districts spread out along the valley floor. Beyond them the land rises into the Flemish Ardennes, a landscape of short, steep hills.
The Markt is dominated by the late-Gothic town hall, whose belfry is part of the UNESCO-listed ensemble of belfries of Belgium and France. Oudenaarde was a major centre of tapestry weaving in the sixteenth century, and it gave its name to a 1708 battle of the War of the Spanish Succession. The Church of Our Lady of Pamele stands on the riverbank.
Today the town is also closely tied to cycling. The Tour of Flanders finishes here, and its museum is in the centre. An Oudenaarde map poster shows why the race loves this ground: south of the Scheldt, narrow roads zigzag up the hills, and some of them are the cobbled climbs riders know by name.

Markt and town hall
The large market square opens beside the Gothic town hall. On the map it is a clear open rectangle framed by the dense blocks of the old centre.
Flemish Ardennes
South of the river, small roads twist over the hills in tight, irregular lines, marking the terrain that defines the Tour of Flanders.

Tanba sa Oudenaarde
Mapa ida ho signifikadu
Cycling fans hang Oudenaarde as a tribute to the Ronde. Others hang it for the tapestries, the Gothic skyline or a family connection to the Scheldt valley. As a map, it is both a racing landscape and a medieval town.
Put a race year, a name or a favourite climb in the subtitle, adjust the coordinates, and pick Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD download includes six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF, and framed prints are also available.
