Pensacola Map Poster & Print
Pensacola lies on the western end of the Florida Panhandle, along the north shore of Pensacola Bay. Spanish settlers under Tristán de Luna arrived here in 1559. Since then it has been ruled by Spain, France, Britain, the Confederacy and the United States, which is why it calls itself the City of Five Flags.
The downtown sits on a regular grid near the water, with Palafox Street as its main axis and the historic Seville district nearby. Bayous cut into the city from the north, and long bridges cross the bay towards Gulf Breeze and the barrier island of Santa Rosa. Naval Air Station Pensacola, home of the Blue Angels, occupies the peninsula to the south-west.
A Pensacola map poster is as much about water as streets. The orderly downtown blocks, the lobed shapes of bayous, the thin barrier islands and the bridges that stitch them together make a varied composition. It works as a portrait of a coastal city where land and sea constantly meet.

Bay and bridges
Pensacola Bay spreads south of the city, crossed by long bridges to Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island.
Bayous
Bayou Texar and other inlets reach into the city from the bay, breaking the street pattern with narrow, winding fingers of water.

Mapa ida ho signifikadu
Pensacola draws people for many reasons: naval careers, beach holidays, college years or a family home. A map poster keeps the shape of the bay and downtown on the wall long after the move or the trip.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a base, a wedding date or a street name, and edit the coordinates. Pick from five styles. Blueprint and Noir bring out the coastline, while Sand suits the Gulf Coast light.
