Navli river divide
The river runs through the centre and splits the town into its two historic halves. In black and white it reads as a clear band of open space.

Savarkundla Map Poster & Print
Savarkundla in Amreli district, Gujarat, started as two settlements, Savar and Kundla, on opposite banks of the Navli river. They later merged into one town, and the map still shows that origin. The river bed runs through the middle, with a separate cluster of streets on each side and bridges joining them.
The town is known in Gujarat for making weighing scales, a trade that has supported local workshops for generations. It is also known for an unusual Diwali tradition in which groups throw homemade fireworks at one another across the streets. On the map, the older lanes in each half are tight and irregular, while newer areas stretch along the roads towards the open Saurashtra countryside.
A Savarkundla map poster gives a clear, symmetrical composition: two halves of one town, the pale line of the river between them and the crossings that tie them together. It is a precise way to show where the two old towns met.

Savar and Kundla
Each bank has its own older core of close, irregular lanes, a reminder that these were once separate towns before they merged.
River crossings
Bridges over the Navli connect the two halves and form the main links in the town's street network.
