Compatsch
The small settlement where the cable car from Seis arrives and the access road ends is the densest knot of buildings on the plateau, which makes it a natural focal point on the poster.

Seiser Alm Map Poster & Print
Seiser Alm, or Alpe di Siusi in Italian, is usually described as the largest high-altitude alpine meadow in Europe. On a map it appears as a wide, gently rolling plateau above the villages of Seis and Kastelruth in South Tyrol. The Schlern massif bounds it to the southwest and the Langkofel group to the east. Few roads cross it. Narrow tracks and paths wander between the huts instead.
Private car traffic on the plateau is restricted during the day, and most visitors arrive by the cable car from Seis to Compatsch. In winter the meadow becomes a gentle, open ski area linked to Val Gardena and part of the Dolomiti Superski network. Summer brings walkers and grazing cattle. The surrounding Dolomites are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A Seiser Alm map poster captures something unusual for a ski resort: space. There is no tight village grid. The frame fills with loose threads of trail and road, a few clusters of buildings and the steep edges where the plateau drops away. The result is a calm image, closer to a landscape study than a street plan.

Plateau trail network
Farm tracks and walking paths spread across the meadow in loose, curving lines. They link the scattered huts and give the map a delicate, almost hand-drawn texture.
Link to Val Gardena
On its northern side the plateau connects by gondola toward Ortisei and Val Gardena, tying the quiet meadow to one of the busiest valleys in the Dolomites.

People hang this map to remember a slower kind of mountain holiday: long walks between huts, first days on skis, or a summer celebration with the Schlern in the background. The title can carry the place in German or Italian, and the subtitle can hold a date or names.
Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand suit the soft meadow lines especially well. Download the HD files for $9 in six sizes, or order a printed matte poster with an optional wooden frame.
