Xà No canal
This broad, straight waterway runs through the town and links it to Cần Thơ. It is the boldest line on the map and the reason the town grew here.

Vị Thanh Map Poster & Print
Vị Thanh lies deep in the Mekong Delta and was the capital of the former Hậu Giang province, now part of Can Tho City. From above, water matters more here than roads. The wide Xà No canal runs through the town, and a grid of smaller canals and ditches divides the surrounding land into long, narrow plots.
The Xà No canal was dug in the early twentieth century to connect this area with Cần Thơ. It opened the western delta to rice farming and river trade, and much of the town grew up along its banks. The flat, low land and the canal system give the area a geometric order that can only be fully seen from above.
A Vị Thanh map poster turns this water landscape into a study of parallel lines. The main canal forms a strong horizontal band, and the smaller waterways repeat in fine strokes across the paper. The built-up area gathers where roads and water meet. It is a calm image of a place shaped almost entirely by digging and farming.

Canal-cut fields
Around the town, smaller canals divide the rice land into long, regular strips. The repeated lines give the poster its texture.
Waterside town
Houses and streets cluster along the main waterway and its crossings, so the town forms a stretched shape rather than a round centre.

For anyone raised in the delta, or who has travelled its canals by boat, this map captures a way of life organised around water. It also works as an abstract, linear artwork for people who simply enjoy strong geometry.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to suit the occasion, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the canals well. Order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame, or download the HD files for $9.
