Cordon is a village in Haute-Savoie set on the slopes above Sallanches, facing the Mont Blanc massif across the Arve valley. It is often called the balcony of Mont Blanc, a name that comes from the view rather than the map, but the map explains it: the commune occupies a steep hillside turned toward the massif, with roads climbing in loops from the valley floor to hamlets scattered across the slope.

The village is known for its Baroque church and for a small, family ski area above the houses.
