Seen from above, Euless belongs to the Mid-Cities, the band of suburbs between Dallas and Fort Worth. The street pattern is mostly postwar and late-century suburban. Curving residential loops and cul-de-sacs sit inside a coarser grid of arterial roads, and wide highway corridors cross the city and split it into distinct pieces. On a map it reads as a plain of small, even blocks.

The main feature on the eastern side is Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, which borders the city. Its long parallel runways and terminal loops are some of the few large, clean geometric shapes in the area. They stand out against the finer residential texture, and together with the freeway interchanges they give the map a strong structure. It is an unusual view of a place most people only see from the road.

A Euless map poster turns that mix of neighbourhood streets, highways and runways into a quiet black-and-white print. Minor roads become thin lines and major routes become heavier strokes. Creeks and small parks break up the pattern in places. Without colour or labels, the city's layout looks the way a planner or pilot would see it: ordered, practical and quite regular.
