Al Mishkhāb Map Poster & Print
Al Mishkhāb lies in Najaf Governorate in central-southern Iraq, on the flat alluvial plain watered by the Euphrates. The surrounding area is one of the country's main rice-growing districts, and the region is known for Iraq's aromatic amber rice. Irrigation shapes everything here, and the landscape is threaded with canals, ditches and field boundaries.
The town itself is compact, a close network of streets with main roads leading toward Najaf and neighbouring districts. From above, the built area appears as a dense block surrounded by long, narrow fields. An Al Mishkhāb map poster captures that striking pattern, with the geometry of irrigation spreading across the plain in fine parallel lines.
Water is the defining feature of the map. A channel of the Euphrates passes close to the town, and canals branch outward to feed the rice paddies and date palm groves. On wider frames these lines form an intricate network, showing how a small farming town depends on a carefully managed river system in a dry region.
