Bron sits directly east of Lyon on the flat plain that stretches away from the Rhône, and on a map it reads as a continuation of the city rather than a separate town. Residential streets spread in irregular blocks, broken by the heavy lines of motorways and the eastern ring road that separate it from its neighbours and carry traffic out toward the Alps.
Two large open shapes define its outline. To the south, the Parc de Parilly fills a broad rectangle of lawns and woodland paths. To the east, the runway of Lyon-Bron airport cuts a clean straight line through the grid. It was once the city's main airfield and now serves business and light aviation. A university campus adds a looser pattern of buildings and paths.
In black and white, these contrasts become the subject: the fine grain of houses and apartment blocks against empty green space and the long line of the airstrip. A Bron map poster shows how a suburb can be shaped less by an old centre than by the infrastructure that grew around it, with Lyon's denser streets pressing in at the western edge.

Lyon-Bron airfield
The historic airfield to the east, now used for business and light aviation, appears as a long straight runway and apron. It is one of the clearest geometric lines on the sheet.
Ring road edge
Motorways and the eastern ring road wrap around the town. Their curving ramps and junctions form heavy black strokes that set Bron apart from Lyon and neighbouring Vaulx-en-Velin.
