Dignago lies in the Gôh-Djiboua district of Ivory Coast, in the farming country of the country's centre-west. The map is spare and open. A compact settlement sits where local roads meet, and the land around it is used for cocoa, coffee and food crops, with patches of remaining forest.
The street pattern is simple. A few main roads cross near the centre, blocks of houses cluster along them, and paths lead out to the fields.
