Fangcheng Map Poster & Print
Fangcheng is a county in Nanyang, in southwestern Henan province, located where the flat Nanyang Basin meets the hills to the north. The county seat has a compact centre with a regular street grid, and newer districts have spread outward along main roads. Rivers and canals cross the surrounding farmland, and on a map the town appears as a dense block amid open fields.
The area has been settled for a very long time and lies on an old route between the Central Plains and the south of China. Today the county is primarily agricultural, and the town serves as a local centre for trade, administration and transport, with highways connecting it to Nanyang and Pingdingshan.
A Fangcheng map poster shows a Chinese county town in transition, with older streets at the centre and new wide avenues and residential compounds at the edges. In black and white, the grid of the town and the lines of rivers and roads make a balanced composition set against the plain.

Basin farmland
Flat farmland surrounds the town, crossed by roads, rivers and irrigation channels, with the hills at the edge of the basin visible to the north.
