Gaoqiao Map Poster & Print
Gaoqiao is a town in the northeast of Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country north of the Yangtze. From above, the built-up area follows the valley floor, with streets squeezed between slopes and roads winding up the hillsides to scattered villages.
This part of Chongqing is known for its steep terrain and terraced farmland, with small rivers and streams draining toward the Yangtze system. On a map the land appears crumpled, and roads rarely run straight for long, following contours instead.
A Gaoqiao map poster shows a settlement shaped closely by landform. Rather than a grid, you see a linear town stretched along a valley, the curving lines of water and road, and the fine texture of paths and fields on the slopes around it. It is a detailed, organic composition.
