Greater Northdale Map Poster & Print
Greater Northdale is a census-designated area in Hillsborough County, Florida, just north of Tampa. From above, it is a patchwork of residential neighbourhoods, each with its own loops and cul-de-sacs, framed by a few straight arterial roads. Small lakes and retention ponds are scattered throughout, and the streets often curve to follow their shorelines.
The area grew in the later twentieth century as Tampa expanded northward, and its plan reflects that period of planned subdivisions. A golf course winds through part of the community, and on a Greater Northdale map poster its fairways appear as long, open shapes weaving between housing clusters.
Wooded areas and wetlands remain in places, especially near the lakes and along drainage channels. The arterial roads carry traffic between the suburbs and central Tampa, cutting clean lines through the curving neighbourhoods. In black and white, the map becomes an intricate composition of loops, water and open spaces.
