Castle estate
South of the high street, the Hawarden Castle grounds make a wide area of woodland and parkland. On the poster it is a calm, nearly empty space next to the village's close-set houses.

Hawarden Map Poster & Print
Hawarden sits on the Welsh side of the border with England, a few miles west of Chester. Its map has two very different halves. The old village has a curving high street and a church on rising ground. To the south is the large wooded estate of Hawarden Castle, which shows as a soft block of green with almost no streets inside it.
The place is closely tied to William Gladstone, who lived at Hawarden Castle for much of his life and founded the residential library in the village that now carries his name. North of the village the ground drops toward the Dee estuary flats, and the long runway of Hawarden Airport at Broughton cuts across the lowland in a single hard stroke.
A Hawarden map poster balances these parts: estate parkland and winding lanes on the hill, then denser suburban streets toward Mancot and Ewloe, and flat, open ground below. It is a small place, but it has one of the more varied layouts along this stretch of the border.

Gladstone's village
The church and the library Gladstone founded stand near the centre, where the old road bends through the village. This is the historic heart that most of the map radiates from.
Broughton runway
To the north, the straight runway of Hawarden Airport crosses the Dee lowland. It is the most geometric line in the frame and a well-known local landmark.

Näme üçin Hawarden
Many bar bolan karta
A map of Hawarden suits people who studied at the library, grew up between the castle woods and the estuary, or crossed the border every day for work. The layout is easy to recognise at a glance and has enough detail to reward a closer look.
The title, the subtitle and the coordinates line can be edited, for example to mark a house move or a wedding in the village church. There are five styles. Paper and Sand suit the parkland and old lanes especially well.
