Town grid
Itaíba's centre is laid out in short, mostly straight blocks around its main streets. That makes a compact, readable pattern at the middle of the poster.

Itaíba Map Poster & Print
Itaíba is a municipality of around 34,000 people in the interior of Pernambuco, in the semi-arid part of northeastern Brazil. Much of the population lives in rural areas across the municipality, and the town itself is the local service and market centre.
On a map, the town is a small, fairly orderly grid of streets, with a central square area and blocks running out from it. Past the last streets, roads and tracks head off into open country, where farms and scattered communities are linked by long unpaved routes. The contrast between the neat town and the wide land around it is the main feature.
An Itaíba map poster shows that relationship clearly. The dense core sits in the middle of the frame, and the lines leading out give a sense of distance and of the dry landscape of the sertão.

Roads to the interior
Several routes leave the town and stretch into the countryside. They connect outlying rural communities and cross the white field of the print in long lines.
Open sertão
Around the town, the map is mostly empty ground crossed by tracks. That reflects the semi-arid interior of Pernambuco and gives the design its open, quiet feel.
