Kasrāwad is a town in Khargone district in western Madhya Pradesh, in the Nimar region, on the plain just south of the Narmada River. The land around it is flat, open farmland, and the town forms a compact cluster where local roads converge.
Its layout reflects its role as a market town. A dense centre of narrow streets and small blocks gives way to looser neighbourhoods at the edges, and roads radiate outward to villages and to the river. The Narmada, one of India's most sacred rivers, flows a short distance to the north.
