Kodoli is a town in the Kolhapur district of southern Maharashtra, and from above it looks like many settlements in this fertile belt. A dense centre of small plots and narrow lanes sits at a junction of country roads, and the built area loosens quickly into farmland. The fields around it form a patchwork of long, irregular parcels, divided by tracks and small watercourses.
