Lafayette Map Poster & Print
Lafayette sits in Contra Costa County, east of the Berkeley Hills, and forms the Lamorinda area with nearby Moraga and Orinda. The town fills a valley and climbs the ridges around it. On a map, a compact downtown lies along Mount Diablo Boulevard, and from there residential streets curve into the hills, ending in cul-de-sacs among oak and open space.
State Route 24 and the BART line run side by side through the valley, a strong straight corridor that links Lafayette to Oakland in one direction and Walnut Creek in the other. South of downtown, the Lafayette Reservoir sits in a bowl of hills, surrounded by a well-known walking loop. On paper it forms a neat, irregular shape of water.
Unlike the grid of the flatter Bay Area cities, Lafayette's streets follow slopes and creek beds. The result is a flowing, almost organic network. A Lafayette map poster shows that pattern clearly. It records a town where most drives and walks are shaped by the hills, and where open ridgelines are part of daily life.

Lafayette tends to be a place families choose deliberately, for the schools, the trails and the quiet. A map of its winding streets marks a first house, a long chapter or a move out of the city.
