Winding roads
The main routes bend to follow contours and valleys instead of running straight. This gives the poster a flowing, organic line work that feels quite different from lowland cities.

Longfeng Map Poster & Print
Longfeng sits in the hilly northern part of Chongqing municipality. In this landscape flat ground is scarce, and the street pattern shows it. Roads bend around slopes, climb in switchbacks and branch into short spurs. Buildings pack into whatever level land the terrain allows. From above, the town looks less like a grid and more like a web stretched across uneven ground.
Across Chongqing, development follows the terrain. Main roads use valleys and ridgelines, and newer districts step up the hillsides in terraces of apartment blocks. Longfeng shares this character on a smaller scale. Denser clusters are separated by green hills and cultivated slopes, and the gaps between them are as much a part of the town's shape as the streets are.
A Longfeng map poster turns this irregular geometry into a clean graphic. In monochrome there are no straight avenues to anchor the eye. Instead it is the curves, loops and sudden changes of direction that make the design, and they give a very particular picture of how people build in hill country.

Clustered blocks
Built-up areas collect on the flatter pockets of land. They form dense patches separated by open slopes, rather than one continuous urban spread.
Green gaps
Hills and farmland between the clusters stay unbuilt. They show up as pale spaces that break the town into distinct parts and add rhythm to the composition.
