Madambakkam Map Poster & Print
Madambakkam lies on the southern edge of the Chennai metropolitan area, near Tambaram. It was once a village and is now a densely built suburb. On a map, it shows how an older settlement has been absorbed into the city: a small core of village streets, surrounded by new, orderly residential layouts.
The area is known for its old Shiva temple, which draws visitors from across the city, and for Madambakkam Lake, a large body of water that fills a clear shape on the map. Lakes and tanks like this are part of the old water system of Tamil Nadu. They still structure the urban land around them.
A Madambakkam map poster shows the balance between water and streets. The irregular lake outline sits among a fine mesh of roads, and the plotted layouts spread out from the old centre. It suits residents who know this part of Chennai street by street.

Old temple quarter
Around the old Shiva temple, streets follow the older village pattern and are tighter and less regular than the newer surrounding layouts.
Residential layouts
New housing layouts are arranged in regular blocks of parallel streets, which fill the land between older roads with a neat, planned texture.
