Maruobara Map Poster & Print
Maruobara lies in central Shizuoka Prefecture, a landscape of river plains, gentle plateaus and forested hills that stretches between the southern Alps and the Pacific. On a map it reads as a mix of residential lanes, small rectangular fields and larger roads running across the countryside.
This part of Shizuoka is among the most important tea-growing areas in Japan, and the neat, regular strips of tea fields leave a distinctive texture wherever they appear from above. Housing, farmland and small workshops sit side by side, with no sharp line between town and country.
A Maruobara map poster favours detail over landmarks. The fine lines of farm roads and the soft grid of neighbourhoods create a quiet pattern that suits the minimal style, a portrait of an ordinary, lived-in corner of Japan rather than a famous skyline.

Town and farmland
Residential streets blend into agricultural land without a hard edge, so the map shows houses, fields and narrow lanes woven closely together.
Between mountains and sea
The area sits between Shizuoka's mountain ranges and the Pacific coast, and the main roads follow the lie of the land from the hills towards the plain.
