Miyota Map Poster & Print
Miyota is a town in the Kitasaku district of Nagano Prefecture, set on the long, gently inclined slopes that fall away to the south of Mount Asama, one of Japan's most active volcanoes. From above, the centre gathers along its main roads and railway, while farmland, woodland and scattered settlements spread across the wide, open slopes around it.
The town sits between Karuizawa to the east and Saku to the west, and its cool highland climate has long drawn holiday homes and summer visitors. Miyota is also known internationally through watchmaking: Citizen's Miyota brand of watch movements takes its name from the town, a link to the precision industry that developed here.
A Miyota map poster shows a town arranged on the flank of a volcano. The main streets and railway form a compact centre, roads run out across the land in long lines, and the woods and fields give the print wide areas of open space. The volcano itself lies just beyond the northern edge, felt more than drawn.

Compact centre
Near the station, streets gather into a small, dense area that forms the focal point of the print, with houses and shops spreading along the main roads.
Between two neighbours
With Karuizawa to the east and Saku to the west, the main roads and railway link Miyota to its neighbours and give the map a clear east–west axis.
