Hill-shaped streets
Roads curve and branch according to the terrain, forming irregular loops rather than a grid and giving the map a hand-drawn quality.

Muricay Map Poster
Muricay is a barangay of Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur on the island of Mindanao. Pagadian is built on sloping ground that rises from the shore of Pagadian Bay, an inlet of the larger Illana Bay. Its neighbourhoods follow the terrain, so streets rarely run straight for long before bending around a slope or gully.
Like much of the city, Muricay mixes residential streets, local roads and patches of green where the ground is too steep or wet to build. The map shows a quieter, less formal pattern than the downtown grid near the port: roads that follow ridgelines, lanes that branch off and stop, and open land between clusters of houses.
A Muricay map poster is a portrait of an everyday Mindanao neighbourhood rather than a landmark. Its interest lies in the irregular geometry of streets shaped by hills and water. In clean black lines it becomes a graphic record of a specific corner of the Philippines, familiar to the people who live there.

Toward the bay
The neighbourhood sits within a city that slopes toward Pagadian Bay, and the direction of the streets hints at the nearby coastline.
Green gaps
Unbuilt patches between clusters of homes break up the pattern, leaving open space that keeps the composition light.
