Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a village in Savoie, set on the mountainside above Flumet in the Val d'Arly, not far from Megève. The village centre is small and gathered around its church, and from there roads and lanes spread out across the slope toward farms, chalets and the lower stations of the ski lifts. On the map, the settlement looks loose and green rather than dense.
The resort is part of the Espace Diamant, a linked ski area it shares with neighbouring villages including Les Saisies, Crest-Voland, Praz-sur-Arly and Flumet. Its runs cross open, rolling terrain dotted with farm buildings and pockets of forest, a landscape that returns to pasture in summer. The commune covers about twenty-one square kilometres, most of it on sloping ground.
