Drainage canals
Straight canals run across the village between neighbourhoods, part of the network that keeps this flat, low land dry. They form bold lines on the poster.

Palm Springs Map Poster & Print
Palm Springs is a village in Palm Beach County, a few miles inland from the Atlantic, just west of Lake Worth Beach. Its map is typical of South Florida. Long, straight roads run on a grid, and drainage canals cut through the neighbourhoods at regular intervals. Small lakes, many of them dug when the land was developed, are scattered among the houses.
The village was built largely in the years after the Second World War, when this part of Florida filled with ranch homes and garden apartments. It has since grown through annexation, so its boundaries are irregular. To the east lies John Prince Park and Lake Osborne, a long, narrow lake that makes a strong natural shape near the village's edge.
A Palm Springs map poster makes the canal-and-grid pattern of the region unusually clear. The straight channels and rectangular blocks read almost like an engineering drawing, softened by the curves of lakes and the looping streets of newer developments. It is a map of a place designed around the management of water.

Lake Osborne
The long, narrow lake beside John Prince Park lies just east of the village, a strong shape that anchors the eastern side of the map.
Postwar grid
Straight roads and rectangular blocks of mid-century homes cover much of the village, giving the map a regular, orderly texture typical of South Florida suburbs.

Many bar bolan karta
A Palm Springs map suits anyone who has made a home among Palm Beach County's canals and lakes, and it makes a good gift for snowbirds and retirees. The water shapes make a clear, graphic image for a Florida room or a home up north.
