Poděbrady Map Poster & Print
Poděbrady lies on the Elbe in Central Bohemia, east of Prague. On a map the river is the first thing you notice, running along the northern side of town with its weir and lock. Just south of it stands the castle, and beside the castle opens the main square, named after the town's most famous figure, King George of Poděbrady.
From the square, a broad spa park stretches toward the railway station. The spa dates from the early twentieth century, after mineral springs were found beneath the town, and it gave Poděbrady its colonnade, its flower beds and a reputation for heart treatment that continues today.
A Poděbrady map poster captures this unusual plan: river, castle, square and park lined up in a clear sequence, with residential streets filling in around them. Water meadows and woods along the Elbe soften the edges, so the town reads as a calm, well-ordered place.

Castle and main square
The castle sits close to the river, beside the main square with its equestrian statue of King George. Together they form the historic heart of the map.
The spa park
A long, green spa park runs from the centre toward the station. Its paths and open space make a distinctive quiet strip through the middle of the town.
