Presidente Getúlio Map Poster & Print
Presidente Getúlio is a small town in the Alto Vale do Itajaí region of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil. It was settled by European immigrant families, as were many towns in this part of the state, and it takes its name from former president Getúlio Vargas. The town sits in a valley, with steep, wooded hills rising on either side.
From above, the town's shape follows the terrain. Streets run along the valley floor and beside the river, while side roads climb short distances into the hills before giving way to forest and farmland. A Presidente Getúlio map poster captures that long, narrow form, with the dense centre in the valley and green slopes all around.
The surrounding countryside is typical of the Itajaí valley region: small farms, patches of Atlantic forest and winding rural roads. The map shows a settlement shaped more by hills and water than by any imposed plan.

River line
A river runs through the town, and roads and buildings follow its course. It adds a flowing line through the centre of the composition.
Forested hills
Steep, wooded slopes surround the town on all sides. On the poster they appear as open space that frames the settlement and emphasises the valley.
