Puyang Map Poster & Print
Puyang lies at the north-eastern tip of Henan Province, where Henan meets Shandong and Hebei on the open North China Plain. The land is almost perfectly flat, and the city's map shows it. Wide, straight avenues form a broad grid of large rectangular blocks, and there are few natural obstacles apart from small rivers and canals crossing the urban area.
Much of modern Puyang grew alongside the Zhongyuan Oilfield, one of China's major oil and gas fields. From the 1970s onward the field brought planned residential districts, industrial zones and new roads. That growth gives the city a clearly zoned look from above, with an older centre and newer, more spacious districts spreading outward along the main roads.
The area's history goes back much further. At Xishuipo, archaeologists found a dragon figure laid out in clam shells in a Neolithic grave, and the city calls itself the homeland of the Chinese dragon. The Yellow River runs through the south of the prefecture. A Puyang map poster shows the calm, measured order of a plains city built on very old ground.

Oilfield districts
Residential and industrial areas built for the Zhongyuan Oilfield form distinct planned zones, each with its own street pattern, set within the wider city grid.
Small waterways
Rivers and canals crossing the flat terrain add a few soft, curving lines to an otherwise rectilinear map, and their banks break up the regular block pattern.

Näme üçin Puyang
Many bar bolan karta
Puyang is home to many families whose parents came to work in the oilfield, and to others whose roots in the region go back generations. A map of the city holds both stories. Set the title and subtitle to a family name, a district or a year, and adjust the coordinates.
A regular grid like this suits Blueprint particularly well and looks sharp in Classic black & white or Noir. Paper and Sand give a gentler tone for living rooms. Get the HD files for $9 in six print sizes, or order a matte poster with an optional frame.
