Rosário do Sul Map Poster & Print
Rosário do Sul lies in the west of Rio Grande do Sul, in the rolling grassland of the southern Brazilian pampa. The Santa Maria River winds past the town, and on the map it is the most expressive line. Its bends and sandbanks contrast with the straight streets beside it. Wide open country surrounds the town in every direction.
The town itself follows a regular grid of long blocks, typical of southern Brazilian towns. It has a central square and straight streets running out toward the edges. A railway line and main roads cross the area and connect the town with other pampa towns. Beyond the built area, ranch land stretches out with only a few roads and streams crossing it.
The river is central to local life, and its sandy banks are used as beaches in the summer. Cattle ranching has long shaped the region's economy and character. A Rosário do Sul map poster shows the town as it looks from above, an orderly grid beside a winding river on the open plains.
