Sabou lies in the Centre-Ouest region of Burkina Faso, on the main road between Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso. From above, the town shows a modest core of streets near the highway, with looser tracks and compounds spreading into the flat savanna. The surrounding land is dotted with fields and paths.
