Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray lies just south of Rouen, on the left bank of the Seine, where the river winds through a series of broad loops. From above, the town is a mix of patterns. Older streets sit near the river, larger postwar housing estates spread across the plateau, and railway lines and industrial zones run along the valley.
