Tiébissou is a town in central Ivory Coast, north of Yamoussoukro, on the main highway that runs toward Bouaké. It lies in Baoulé country, in a transitional landscape where the forest of the south gives way to wooded savanna. The countryside is farmed in small plots, and villages are scattered along the roads.
From above, the highway is the town's defining feature. It runs through Tiébissou in a long, nearly straight line, and the streets branch off to either side in a loose, practical grid. Beyond the built-up area, tracks and fields spread across gently rolling land, with patches of woodland and stream valleys between them.
