Stanitsa grid
The town's long straight streets and large blocks come from its origins as a Cossack settlement. They give the poster a strong, even rhythm.

Timashyovsk Map Poster & Print
Timashyovsk lies in Krasnodar Krai, north of Krasnodar, on the flat, fertile plain of the Kuban. From above the town is orderly. Long straight streets meet at right angles, and the blocks are filled with low houses and gardens, the typical plan of a former Cossack stanitsa. The small Kirpili river passes through, its banks marked by ponds and green strips.
The town grew as a railway junction, and the railway lines give the map its strongest diagonals. Around the town, huge rectangular fields separated by lines of shelter trees spread in every direction. This is one of Russia's most productive farming regions, and the geometry of agriculture reaches right up to the last streets.
A Timashyovsk map poster suits people who like strict, clear patterns. The grid of the town, the lines of the railway and the river's curve fit together into a balanced composition. Printed in monochrome, the regularity becomes the design. It is a calm, graphic image of a southern Russian town.

Railway junction
Railway lines cross the town at angles to the street grid. They form the most distinctive lines on the map.
Kirpili river
The small river and its ponds add a winding line to the otherwise straight plan. They soften the centre of the composition.
