Diagonal downtown
The original town plan is set at an angle, so downtown streets meet the surrounding north-south roads obliquely and form a distinctive tilted grid.

Twin Falls Map Poster & Print
Twin Falls sits on the Snake River Plain in southern Idaho, and its map has two defining features. The first is the downtown grid, laid out on a diagonal rather than aligned to north, so the older streets run at an angle to the surrounding farm roads. The second is the Snake River Canyon along the northern edge of the city, a deep, winding gorge where the street network abruptly ends.
The Perrine Bridge carries traffic high above the canyon and is well known among BASE jumpers. A few miles east, Shoshone Falls drops over a wide basalt rim and is sometimes called the Niagara of the West. The canyon is also where Evel Knievel attempted his rocket-powered jump in 1974.
A Twin Falls map poster makes the most of these contrasts: the rotated grid of the old centre, the straight section-line roads of the irrigated farmland, and the curving canyon slicing across it all. In black and white the geometry is especially clean, and the line of the canyon gives the composition a natural, dramatic edge.

Snake River Canyon
The canyon runs along the northern side of the city, a deep, winding channel that stops the streets and draws a strong natural line across the page.
Perrine Bridge
The bridge spans the canyon north of town, a single straight crossing that connects Twin Falls with the highway on the far rim.
