The oldest streets are packed tightly into a small area. On the poster this forms a dark, detailed centre that draws the eye before it moves outward.

Vīrnūr Map Poster & Print
Vīrnūr lies in western Tamil Nadu, in the agricultural country of the Kongu region, not far from the foothills that rise toward the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats. From above, the town is a compact group of streets and houses, with roads leading out across a landscape of irrigated fields, coconut groves and scattered farmsteads.
Towns in this part of Tamil Nadu often combine a dense core of older streets with newer housing spreading along the main roads. Small tanks and canals used for irrigation are common features of the landscape, and they sometimes appear on the map as pale shapes and fine lines between the fields.
A Vīrnūr map poster offers a detailed view of a place that few maps treat seriously. The texture of the streets, the roads fanning out into the countryside and the regular pattern of the farmland together create a balanced and personal black-and-white image.

Roads into farmland
Main roads leave the town in several directions, lined with newer houses. They form the strongest lines on the map and link the town to its surroundings.
Irrigated countryside
Fields, groves and small water bodies surround the town. Their patchwork gives the edges of the poster a lighter, open texture that frames the centre.
