Willesden Junction railways
Several lines meet and cross to the south of the district. Their broad curving corridors are the strongest shapes on the map, slicing through the terraced streets at sharp angles.

Willesden Map Poster & Print
Willesden is a district in the London Borough of Brent, northwest of central London. It is mostly made up of long Victorian and Edwardian terraced streets, packed closely together and broken by parks and railway corridors. The high streets of Willesden Green and Harlesden act as its local centres.
The district's parish church, St Mary's, is one of the oldest church foundations in London. The name Willesden is best known today through Willesden Junction, where several railway lines meet. Their tracks, sidings and embankments cut wide diagonal bands through the southern part of the area.
A Willesden map poster captures a very London kind of density. Row after row of terraced streets are cut through by rail lines that never quite align with the grid. Green spaces such as Roundwood Park open up the pattern. In fine monochrome lines, the rhythm of terraces becomes almost textile-like.

Terraced street rows
Long parallel streets of houses fill most of the area. At poster scale they form a dense, even texture typical of late Victorian suburban London.
Roundwood Park
This park forms a clear open space among the streets. Its paths make a gentle contrast with the tight residential grid around it.
