Zoukougbeu is a town in the Haut-Sassandra area of west-central Ivory Coast, in the wider Sassandra-Marahoué district. From above it reads as a compact core of blocks and laterite streets, loosely arranged around a few main roads. Those roads lead out into the surrounding countryside and connect the town with neighbouring villages and the regional centre of Daloa.
Beyond the built-up area the map opens into a rural landscape of farm tracks and footpaths. This is part of the country's agricultural belt, where plantation crops such as cocoa shape both the economy and the way land is divided. In black and white, that countryside turns into a fine web of thin lines around the denser town.
