Zwevegem Map Poster & Print
Zwevegem lies in West Flanders, just southeast of Kortrijk, and includes several former villages. On a map it looks like a loose arrangement of centres linked by roads through flat farmland. A long, straight canal cuts across the whole area.
The canal is the Bossuit–Kortrijk canal, which links the Scheldt and the Leie. Zwevegem also has a strong industrial history. The wire manufacturer Bekaert was founded here in 1880, and the former power station site known as Transfo has been kept as industrial heritage.
A Zwevegem map poster gives this landscape a clear structure. The straight line of the canal runs through the composition, and around it you can see the pattern of village streets, industrial sites and field plots typical of southern Flanders.

Transfo site
The former power station site next to the canal is a large industrial footprint. It stands out on the map as a distinct shape among the residential streets.
Village centres
Several small centres, each with its own cluster of streets, dot the map. They are joined by roads running across open agricultural land.
