Four Corners takes its name from the point where Lake, Orange, Osceola and Polk counties meet. From above it does not look like a traditional town. There is no main street or central square. Instead, residential neighbourhoods spread out from a highway junction, each one laid out as its own pattern of cul-de-sacs, crescents and looping drives that end in small round turnarounds.
US 27 and US 192 are the two long lines that hold the map together. Most development sits along these roads and in the land between them, and much of it is newer than the region's older towns. Small lakes and retention ponds appear across the sheet, and wooded or undeveloped land fills the gaps where subdivisions have not yet been built.
A Four Corners map poster records a place that is still being drawn. The curving roads on a map from a few years ago may look quite different from the roads there today. The Walt Disney World area lies just to the east, and that explains a lot of the growth. Holiday homes and permanent residences now sit side by side along the same winding streets.

Planned neighbourhoods show up as tight clusters of curved streets and cul-de-sacs. Each cluster has its own shape, and in black and white they read almost like fingerprints.
Central Florida's many small lakes and stormwater ponds appear as smooth pale shapes among the streets. They break up the dense residential pattern and add open space to the composition.

Aiheā Four Corners
Many people have a personal tie to Four Corners. They bought a first home there, spent long holidays near the parks, or moved in as the neighbourhoods were being built. A map of the curving streets keeps a record of that stage of life and of a landscape that keeps changing.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a street name or a moving-in date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
